Finding Your Voice
Do you have something to say, but you just don't have the confidence or the knowledge to say it? Do you want to/need to be an advocate for yourself, your children, your loved ones, your community?
Public speaking is a top fear in our society. Many consider speaking out to be something others will do for them. But, in this world of constant change, having a voice and knowing how to use it effectively is almost imperative. Whether you are an entrepreneur who wants to develop a better sales voice or a parent of a special needs child who needs you as his/her advocate or simply someone who would like to be more involved in your community as an advocate, I can help you find your voice and develop it for your specific purposes.
I have been teaching and coaching public speaking, small group communication and persuasion for well over a decade. Before that, I was an award-winning competitive speaker and debater in intercollegiate competition. I have been an advocate for my chronically ill daughter since she was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect at 3 months of age and received a heart transplant at 4 months old. I am an organ donation ambassador and I have been involved in local community activism. I consider my strengths the ability to tailor messages for specific audiences and helping those with high speech anxiety find ways to use their voice effectively and enjoyably!
